HGV Class 1 & 2 Rescue/Recovery Driver
Job Purpose:
To safely and effectively recover and transport vehicles (and passengers as required) from the scene of a breakdown/road traffic collision etc. on a 24 hour shift basis.
As a Class 1 & 2 HGV Driver you will have:
- A minimum of a Category C Driving Licence
- At least 12 months HGV driving experience
- DCPC and a Digital Drivers Card
- No more than 6 points

- Vetting required to support Police Service roadside operations
- Reliable, trustworthy, dependable and loyal
- High personal standards and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service

Job Status:
- 24hr rota which includes unsocial hours and weekends
- Renumeration to be discussed and dependant on qualifications/experience.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Carry out daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and on board equipment, or such other checks as may be required by statute, or as instructed
- Drive the Company vehicles specified by your Manager, giving due regard to other road users, and comply at all times with the current statutory vehicle and road traffic regulations
- Provided a rapid response to stranded motorists
- Assist with loading and off -loading of customers vehicles as necessary, signing for loads where applicable
- Complete all worksheets and records as required
- Carry out other duties as may reasonably be associated with your position, are within your capabilities and competence, and are normally carried out in the course of the Company’s business
- Give assurance to vulnerable drivers, general motoring advice and customer support
