Carlisle Depot – Driver required
Job Purpose:
To deliver a high level of customer service acting in a supporting role on behalf of the major UK clubs, and other work providers in a safe and professional manner
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Carry out daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and on-board equipment, or such other checks as may be required by statute, or as instructed
- Observe, recognise and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure
- Drive the Company’s recovery vehicles specified by your Manager, giving due courtesy to other road users and comply at all times with the current statutory vehicle and road traffic regulations
- To take reasonable care for your own safety and for others who may be affected by your acts or omissions and to co-operate fully in relation to health and safety matters
- Provided a rapid response to stranded motorists
- Effect roadside repairs and give reassurance to vulnerable drivers, general motoring advice and customer support
- Provided workshop backup to get customers back on the road in the shortest time possible
- Assist with the loading and off-loading of customer vehicles as necessary, signing for loads where applicable
- Assist with the loading and off-loading of vehicles at the Company’s premises
- Complete drivers’ worksheets and other records daily as required
- Carry out such other duties as may be reasonably be associated with their position
