John Macadam & Son (Garages) Ltd. was established in 1966 by, Managing Director, John Macadam (‘Doug’). Gradually the business was successfully expanded from a one-man concern to a multi-branch organisation providing service across the North and employing over 100 people.

Over the course of the 40+ years trading the company has nurtured relationships with many work providers including major insurance companies, fleet operators, local and county authorities.

These include Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire Police authorities, providing a genuine 24 hour breakdown and recovery service for all types of vehicle, up to maximum permitted gross vehicle weight commercials and public service vehicles.

Greenflag, AA, Britannia Rescue, Mondial Assistance, Equity Red Star, Europ Assistance and many other motoring organisations entrust the assistance of their members to Macadams.

Roadside repairs are effected where possible, but where necessary full workshop facilities are available, or vehicles can be transported anywhere in the UK or indeed Europe should the owner require it.

As you would expect, holding BMW and other manufacturer approvals and being BSI Kitemark accredited, the bodyshop employs the latest in equipment technology, including specialist BMW aluminium repairs. When subjected to manufacturers audits, never less than 100% is achieved.
