John Macadam started this business in 1966 as a one-man business operating with a Guy Goliath recovery vehicle. This vehicle dealt with the majority of his work at the time. Over the years John has built up vast resources of knowledge and equipment and the business has steadily grown and grown, all the time gradually acquiring more vehicles, premises and staff. The business now consists of the head office in Colne where the Paint and Bodyshop is also located. Due to John’s enthusiasm, strength and determination the business workload increased over a short space of time. His wife Margaret, his son Alistair, and his daughter Helen have also gained the same enthusiasm, strength and determination to ensure the continuation of the business’ success. As well as family members the business has acquired a team of professionals which make up our recovery technicians. This experienced team has on many occasions succeeded in completing on the spot repairs, which kept schedule disruption to a minimum. From our dedicated 24-hour control room, which is based at our Colne depot we are able to distribute work throughout the North West 24 hours a day 365 days a year, depending on the customer’s needs. Both our recovery administrative staff and body shop staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience working with the general public, insurance companies, dealerships, and Police Forces. Within the body shop there are two professional estimators. One of whom has been voted the 5th top estimator in the U.K. by Glasmatics and BMW in 2006. We have our own parts department to ensure the best deals, as well as maintaining efficient supplies. This speeds up repairs and avoids unnecessary delays as well as helping to keep customers repair on schedule. We now have depots in: -
